Well, let's see. I live on the farm where my dad grew up. In fact, it's the same farm Ole Rye bought in 1875 with some ground added along the way. I grew up a couple miles from Hanlontown, Iowa, and have the two farms plus a neighboring farm I bought last spring that connects everything together. We have a corn and soybean operation. We fed beef cattle until the early 1990s. My wife is Suzzanne and between us we have six kids and four grandchildren. Suzzanne grew up near Willmar, Minnesota where her parents reside. Her grandparents and parents ran a town grocery store and meat market in Raymond, Minnesota. I was born July 7, 1947, which means I am now eligible for senior citizens' discounts, having crossed the 55 threshold just a ways back. I'm closing in on geezerhood.
