Nutrient balancing act 

Soil pH has always been a challenging condition for Kossuth County, Iowa, farmers Dustin and Dennis Bollig. They farm in northern Iowa and southern Minnesota, where soil pH levels are high. Finding the right nutrient balance is one thing -- applying it is another. That's why they're utilizing a variable-rate system for applying phosphorous and lime at planting time.
