Early calls for the commodities

A higher start is expected for the grains on the CBOT for Monday, February 8, 2010. Early calls are corn 3-5 cents higher, soybeans 7-9 cents higher and wheat 3-5 cents higher.

In eCBOT electronic trading, the March 09 corn futures contract was 3 1/2 cents higher at $3.55 per bushel, while March soybeans were 12 3/4 cents higher at $9.26 1/4 per bushel. March wheat was 4 1/2 cents higher at $4.77 3/4.

The outside markets are mildly supportive, but the higher overnight grain trading offers even more support for this mornng's CBOT open.
