Each year producers travel to trade shows to learn about the newest products and advancements in agriculture. A recent entry to the trade show arena is AG CONNECT Expo, an international agriculture event owned and produced by the Association of Equipment Manufacturers. The Expo is slated for January 13 to 15, 2010, in Orlando, Florida.

To help optimize your trade show experience, Expo organizers have a variety of tools to help visitors map out their stops, including an online Show Planner Map. This tool allows you to seek out specific companies, and it includes information to contact them.

To get you started, a few exhibitors tell you why you should make a point to stop at their booths and what you can expect to see.

Look for the newest-of-the-new from AGCO's line up of tractors, combines, sprayers, hay products, tillage and planters. Stop by to learn about their 205- to 275-PTO horsepower tractors equipped with e3 clean air technology for up to 15% greater fuel efficiency than previous diesel emissions technology.

"The Case IH display will be substantially different than previous show booths farmers may have seen at past indoor or outdoor shows," says Duane Nelson, Case IH director of global brand management. "While flagship Case IH equipment will still anchor the display, the exhibit space also has been redesigned to facilitate information sharing and interaction between the Case IH team and farmers and ranchers attending the show."

At the Raven booth, you'll find Cruizer, an affordable and easy-to-operate guidance system with integrated GPS designed to increase efficiency and profitability with applications ranging from tillage to harvest. Growers can do even more with Cruizer thanks to SmartSteer assisted steering, SmartBoom automatic boom section control, and SmartRow planter section control system.

This exhibit will include several items of interest to growers, including FieldNET, a full-control Web-based irrigation management system.

Visitors also will have the chance to learn about the ag industry's first fully integrated pump station and center pivot control package. Manufactured by Lindsay's Watertronics subsidiary, the customized pump stations and control technology allow growers to operate multiple irrigation systems from a single pump station.

"AG CONNECT Expo is an exciting new venue for showcasing our best-in-class planters and grain carts to an equipment-oriented audience hungry for new product information," says Susanne Veatch, Kinze's vice president and chief marketing officer. "We encourage anyone interested in row-crop planter or grain cart technology to put a visit to the Kinze booth at the top of his or her list!"

The Claas lot will feature a Lexion combine harvester with MTS track system, which provides the best flotation available today. Visitors will also have the opportunity to see the latest Jaguar 900 Series forage harvester and learn more about the new header options that will be announced soon.

"AG CONNECT's focus on helping the global agribusinessman improve his operation through technology and innovation provides our company the perfect backdrop to show how our tires can provide value and solutions to that producer," says Tom Rodgers, Bridgestone America's director of marketing.

The Firestone brand ag tire booth will not only focus on the newest tire technology available but also show how to optimize equipment with the correct tires and set-up for a given application.

Learn about the latest equipment Deere has unveiled for 2010, including their 8R Series tractors, Load Command System, PitStop Pro, and 4630 sprayer. Experts will be on hand to talk about AutoTrac Controller and AutoTrac RowSense Universal.

"Our booth will feature hands-on displays that combine GPS guidance with machine control to steer and guide tractors and implements very accurately," says Rob Lindores, Trimble Agriculture's director of marketing.

Also look for their variable-rate solutions for seed, chemicals, and fertilizer, including the newest productivity tools in on-the-go nitrogen and information management. Trimble experts will explain how these technologies improve profitability, and they can also suggest specific solutions for particular needs.
