The new GX1117 grinder mixer from Frontier Equipment features 14-inch mixing auger and can be equipped with optional weigh scale to ensure feed consistency and accuracy. Controlled from the tractor's operator station, the large unloading auger swings up to 300 degrees, making it easier to load feeders or bins. The mixer has a 135-bushel capacity and comes equipped with a 21-inch-wide PTO-driven hammer mill and eight-section banded V-belt for a positive drive. A quick-release gauge disengages unit when it is not in use. Heavy-duty 18-inch magnets help trap metal to prevent pieces from accidentally entering the mill. MSRP is $33,002.

Y-TEX Corporation has introduced the XP 820, a new insecticide ear tag containing abamectin, which can be used on beef, nonlactating dairy cattle, and calves. The tag is effective against horn flies and ticks, including horn fly strains resistant to synthetic pyrethroids and organophosphate insecticides. Recent standards by USDA are allowing producers raising cattle for natural and Never Ever 3 programs to use CORID for preventing and treating coccidiosis when used according to the label. CORID works by stopping coccidia at a critical stage in the animal's small intestine to prevent more damaging clinical coccidiosis in the large intestine by starving the coccidia of thiamin, a nutrient vital to their survival.
