It's a time to be thankful.

This year had its challenges as many farmers in the Midwest have been tested both mentally and physically. A wet spring led to the stress and rush to plant during June. After that, all eyes focused on summer weather and hopes that somehow crops could mature without frost damage. Most all of the crop escaped frost, and that was a blessing. October rolled around with wet conditions engulfing most of the Midwest and harvest, already delayed due to late maturity, was pushed even further behind schedule due to excessive moisture. A slow drying rate, along with long lines at elevators also tested your patience.

However, let's give thanks once again for another successful year. For most, the harvest has been bountiful despite its challenges. We believe we speak for most farmers when saying that we have been blessed with the opportunity to produce agricultural products and work in a profession that the world envies. For this we are thankful.

We are also grateful to you, our readers, for allowing us to come into your lives for another year. We do our best to provide insight to the markets and strategies that are useful for you. Your feedback and guidance have been helpful, as we try to produce the best report possible. We thank you for your loyalty and hope that we can continue to serve you well in the future. We hope you and your families have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
