The Association of Equipment Manufacturers yesterday released its monthly report on farm equipment sales. Overall, sales of tractors and combines were down last month when compared with April 2004. The two exceptions were two-wheel-drive tractors from 40-100 horsepower, which rose 4.1%, and four-wheel-drive farm tractors, which rose 22.5%. To date, sales in 2005 are up compared to last year, with increases in all categories except two-wheel-drive farm tractors under 40 horsepower.
