Agree With Most 02/27/2013 @ 6:43pm Most of the comments seem to be about on. They were by big players and reflect their biases. I'm not sure I agree that farm labor will come from the inner city. Much immigrant labor has a strong work ethic. Do the inner city youth have the work ethic and can they adapt to the farm culture? I think farmers will address labor issues with capital investments. More and bigger machines and more automation. More farmers will be women.
