It's been a year that many corn and soybean farmers would like to forget. Despite early expectations and hopes for a larger corn crop, things quickly went downhill as drought pressures mounted. Take a step back to March and follow the crop year in video as it unfolded in what wound up the worst drought year in decades.


In March, many farmers were looking to expand corn acres. Dean Meyer said in March at the 2012 Commodity Classic that he was planning on building up his corn acres, but wasn't going to make any final plans until he hit the field.
