Log on and learn how to recycle ag containers

Agriculture.com Staff 03/31/2006 @ 7:02am

The Ag Container Recycling Council (ACRC) has launched a new Web site at www.acrecycle.org. The redesigned site offers detailed information on how to recycle, plus a breakdown of the entire process from collection of containers to the development of various end-use products.

Also on the site, producers will find downloadable how-to videos for rinsing and recycling, an online order form for training materials, contact information for local ACRC contractors, links to additional recycling sources, and a list of sponsor companies.

Since 1992, the non-profit ACRC has collected 82 million pounds of plastic containers that otherwise could have been dumped in landfills. The containers have been recycled into products such as corrugated drain tile and marine pilings.
