Robert Pesek was born and raised in central Nebraska. He has worked as an agronomist/sales agronomist for over six years covering six counties. He has also worked in corn research and with a weed-free forage program.

Pesek graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in agronomy in May of 2000. He obtained his certification as a Certified Crop Advisor in May of 2003. In May 2007, he graduated with his Master of Science degree in agronomy from Iowa State University. In January of 2008 he obtained the certification of Certified Professional Agronomist. Pesek is also a member of the American Society of Agronomy.

In his spare time, Pesek says he loves to spend time with his wife Cyndi. He also enjoys woodworking, gardening and his favorite hobby, home brewing.
