Wheat in better shape in western Kansas

COLBY, Kan. (Dow Jones) -- Although hard red winter wheat in north-central Kansas was clearly damaged by an early April freeze, plants in western parts of the state look better than they have in years, crop scouts said Tuesday after the first day of the 2007 Hard Winter Wheat Tour.
