Applications are now being accepted for the 2006 New Century Farmer Program sponsored by Pioneer Hi-Bred International, Inc., in conjunction with the National FFA Association.
The program, now in its tenth year, will be held in Johnston, Iowa, July 17-21, 2006. Participants chosen for the all-expense-paid program will attend extensive seminars on the latest in agricultural production, and will learn about new technology and farming opportunities.
Candidates must be 19-22 years old (must be 19 by March 2006), be a student in post-secondary school or college and have an agricultural background. Candidates should be preparing themselves for a career in agricultural production or farming and demonstrate that desire via a written application.
