Steve Richards, Director, NY FarmLink Program

After receiving a BS in food science from the Ohio State University in 1992, Steve Richards went on to work as a manager in the food processing industry for five years, both for ConAgra and Bob Evans.

He completed his Master's Degree in business administration in 1997, served as a graduate research assistant for the Ohio State University Extension Service, then completed his Master's in agricultural economics in 1998.

Richards then served as a farm management educator for Cornell Cooperative Extension. He is currently the director of the NY FarmLink Program, a state-wide program which helps farmers transfer their farms as well as establishing partnerships between farmers.
