Praline Crunch Bars

Even in the midst of a busy week, you can prepare tasty treats for the ones you love by taking a few shortcuts (like using refrigerated cookie dough). The topping for these bars is easy, too. Just let the chocolate pieces melt from the heat of the bars, and then spread.

 Prep: 10 minutes | Bake: 12 minutes | Stand: 5 minutes | Chill: 10 minutes

1  18-ounce roll refrigerated sugar cookie dough

1/2 cup toffee pieces

1/2 cup finely chopped pecans

1 12-ounce package miniature semisweet chocolate pieces

1/3 cup toffee pieces

1. Preheat oven to 350°F. In a large resealable plastic bag, place cookie dough, 1/2 cup toffee pieces, and pecans; knead to combine. Press dough evenly in an ungreased 13×9×2-inch baking pan.

2. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown. Immediately sprinkle with semisweet chocolate pieces. Let stand for five to 10 minutes or until chocolate is softened. Spread evenly over the bars. Sprinkle with 1/3 cup toffee bits.

3. Chill for 10 to 15 minutes to set chocolate. Makes 28 servings.
