Tasty tropical punch

Prep: 5 mins / Cook: 10 mins / Chill: 4 hrs

2 cups water
1/4 cup sugar
1-inch piece fresh ginger or 3 inches stick cinnamon
6 ounce can frozen pineapple or orange juice concentrate
1/3 cup lime juice
2 cups carbonated water, chilled
Ice
4 lime slices, halved

1. In a medium saucepan combine water, sugar, and ginger or cinnamon. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes. Remove from heat. Remove and discard ginger or cinnamon stick.

2. Stir in pineapple juice or orange juice concentrate and lime juice. Pour into a pitcher. Cover and chill 4 hours or until thoroughly chilled.

3. Just before serving, stir in carbonated water. Serve over ice. Garnish with lime slices. Makes 8 (5-ounce) servings.
