Don't Fund This Program 10/12/2011 @ 2:38pm This program is ridiculous! It tips the balance for farmers to put in a fair bid for land! Not to mention costing tax payers for something that we don't need to pay for. Keep the government out, let the natural economy dictate price. Laissez Faire!

USDA needs to put more beginning farmers at the he 03/05/2011 @ 6:44pm USDA needs to open up grant programs to beginning farmers some of us have been in Future Farmers of America for our 4 years in high school and grew up working on farms most of our lives. There are some great opportunities to farm in the Northwest with the right financing, There needs to be grain farms and livestock farms added to feed this growing country.

I own and operate a very successful farm and ranch. I agree there needs to be a solution to help young people get started but this isn't it!
