Leica Geosystems Parent Company Expands Precision Ag Portfolio

The parent company of Leica Geosystems, Hexagon AB, recently signed an agreement to acquire Arvus, a manufacturer of precision agriculture solutions. 


This partnership will give farmers the ability to more closely monitor factors affecting crop production within a specific field. With Arvus different parts of a field can be managed separately with sensors and GPS technologies to fine tune the application of essential nutrients and other inputs.
