Producing high quality forages, on-farm use of edible bunker silo coverings and maximizing milk production are just some of the topics to be highlighted at the 2006 Northeast Ohio Dairy Management Conference, scheduled for March 29 in Uniontown.
Experts from the University of Illinois, Ohio State University research specialists, and a custom harvester and producer panel will discuss using practical tools to produce high quality forages; preserving silage in bunkers without plastic, tires or wasted feed; formulating rations to maximize milk production and minimize manure production; and practical options for managing or eradicating Johne's Disease through a new fecal test.
