The National offers the ultimate showcase of row-crop technology. Machinery advances to be introduced at this year's show:

GPS implement steering. Trimble's implement steering system utilizes their Autopilot RTK system to actively steer implements utilizing steerable coulters. The technology compensates for steep slopes and curved field patterns.

Individual row unit control. The SeedCommand technology being introduced by Ag Leader Technology provides control of individual row units by automatically turning them on or off according to field maps to reduce overseeding and to provide split-planter operation.

60-foot rotary hoe. The 60-foot-wide version of Yetter's Rotary Hoe is the widest such implement in the industry. Also available in a 54-foot-wide model, the implement is designed with independently spring-cushioned arms so that the 21-inch-diameter tillage wheels on the implement follow field contours.

Convertible diesel UV. The 953-cc diesel on Kawasaki's 3010 Trans4×4 is impressive by itself, generating a whopping 1,200-pound towing capacity. But the utility vehicle offers the ability to switch from an 1,100-pound cargo box to additional seating for two people.

Folding corn head. New Holland's eight-row 99C corn head provides rotor blades under each of its stalk rolls that chop stalks into 3- to 4-inch lengths. The head can be ordered with the ability to fold in outside rows for narrow transport.

Strip-till toolbar. Dawn's Vision toolbar is designed for strip-till operations, providing a twin frame with 30 inches of stagger between row units. The Vision features a unique folding mechanism and outstanding weight balance as well.

Vermeer RR 150 Rotary Rake. This rotary-style side-delivery rake is designed to sweep up downed hay and to maximize windrow airflow. Working in a 15-foot swath, it produces clean windrows up to 30 inches wide.

The FLX 20 Series of floaters, with its 380-hp. FLX4520, will be featured by Case IH. Both the 4520 and its little brother, the 3520, are equipped with a six-speed Allison automatic transmission as well as a two-speed auxiliary tranny, providing a total of four speed ranges.
