The John Deere Company has added to its forestry equipment with the announcement of its highly anticipated John Deere FD55 Disc Saw Felling Head (DSFH), available to order immediatelyThe new product is sure to boost productivity with its enhanced visibility to the cutting zone, power, and unique structure. 

The Deere press release highlights several beneficial features of the FD55, which is compatible with the 643K and 843K John Deere Wheeled Feller BunchersThe attachment can be used for everything from thinning to final harvests, according to Deere. 

The new feller head has the ability to handle trees up to 23 inches in diameter and includes an efficient arm design that allows for strong grab arm force for tree manipulation
