High prices on combines, IHC tractors

Lots of video work this week.

Tomorrow, August 25th, I will be in Ludlow, IL along with the film crew for our "Machinery Show" on RFD-TV to film a small farm estate auction by Bill Kruse Auction Company. Couple interesting items on this sale, including a 2000 JD 9550 combine with 1,881 engine hours. Here's a list of other JD 9550 combines I've seen sold at auction over the years:

I've been seeing some very strong auction sale prices on older combines here recently, including these:

  • 1985 Gleaner L3 w/2510 hours (no heads): $28,000 northwest Ohio sale 8/20/11
  • 1997 JD 9500 w/2148 engine hrs: $65,500 southeast Minnesota sale 8/13/11
  • 1990 C-IH 1640 w/2727 hrs: $40,000 northwest Ohio sale 8/13/11
  • 1991 C-IH 1660 w/2578 hrs: $31,000 northeast Nebraska sale 8/2/11
  • 1982 JD 6620 SH, 4200 hours: $19,000 (w/4R CH) northeast Iowa sale 8/20/11

That 1985 Gleaner L3 combine sold on a farm auction by auctioneer Aaron Siefker Saturday, August 20th, in Convoy, OH. This sale produced new record high auction sale prices on IHC 1086 and IHC 3788 tractors. Here's a Youtube video with highlights, pictures and details:

I posted another Youtube auction video last weekend, highlights from Maring Auction Company's very late-model farm retirement sale last Thursday, August 18th, in southeast Minnesota. Highlights include a 2010 CaseIH 7120 combine with 153 engine hours and an absolutely amazing sale price on a 2003 Chevy C8500 tri-axle grain truck with 22' Kann aluminum box and 11,512 actual miles:

One more video for you, an auction preview video for Mark Krausz Auction Service's August 27th farm estate auction in Lebanon, IL. More nice, well cared for green equipment on this auction, including a 1995 JD 8300 MFWD tractor that was the 36th one Deere made and also a 1990 JD 4455 2WD tractor with 4,667 "1 owner" hours:
