    This week in Columbus, Ohio, John Deere rolled out the new products for 2014. The hot new green machines included 7R and 8R tractors with Tier 4 Final engines, two new self-propelled sprayers, a more precise liquid fertilizer applicator, and upgrades to the 2014 S Series combines. At the left you see a glimpse of the virtual reality intro of the 8R tractors.

  • The 7R Makeover

    The 7R Makeover
    For 2014, John Deere introduced five new 7R tractor models from 210 to 290 hp.  Along with added power and comfort, the new tractors feature a Tier 4 Final engine and the e23 power shift transmission. The e23 has 23 equally spaced forward gears and 11 reverse gears than enable the efficiency advantages of an IVT with the simplicity of a power shift.

  • The Evolution of 8R

    The Evolution of 8R
    John Deere launched six new wheel and three new track 8R models, all with Final Tier 4 engines ranging in horsepower from 245 to 370. The tractors feature a new CommandARM and a Generation 4 CommandCenter with a 10-inch display, along with other cab improvements to enhance your comfort and convenience.

  • Redesigned R4 Sprayers

    Redesigned R4 Sprayers
    The R4030 and R4038 are redesigned from the ground up to offer greater productivity and more precise product application. The R4030 is an 800-gallon machine with a 280 hp. 6.8-liter PowerTech Plus PSS Final Tier 4 engine than can operate at up to 20 mph in the field. With the R4038, you can hold 1,000 gallons of fertilizer and have a 310-hp. 9.0-liter engine that can operate at up to 25 mph.

  • Liquid Side Dressing Solution

    Liquid Side Dressing Solution
    John Deere is adding the new 2510L liquid fertilizer applicator to its nutrient application product line. The 2510L is offered in two models, vertical or side-fold, and three base widths of 30-, 40-, and 60-foot, each with 18 different spacing and row combinations. A high-capacity, hydraulically driven pump delivers fertilizer to plants through knives or injectors.

  • S Series Enhancements

    S Series Enhancements
    For the first time in 2014, the S Series combines will be available with 36-inch tracks to reduce ground pressure and allow you to harvest in a variety of conditions. The combines will also have a new Interactive Combine Adjustment in base equipment, which makes setting recommendations based on the crop conditions.
