New John Deere self-propelled sprayers

  • The R4030 and R4038

John Deere introduces the R4030 and R4038 Self-Propelled Sprayers. The newly redesigned John Deere 4 Series Sprayer offers greater productivity, more uptime, and reduced cost of operation.

  • More power

Pictured here is the R4030. The sprayer has an 800-gallon tank and features a 280 horsepower 6.8L PowerTech Plus PSS Final Tier 4 engine with a four-wheel hydrostatic drive. The sprayer can operate up to 20 mph in the field and 30 mph on the road.

  • CommandView II cab

A CommandView II cab is included with the R4030 and R4038 Sprayers. The new cab offers a wider side door for easier access, integrated machine controls, and more glass for greater visibility.

  • Better suspension

The chassis sits on a dual strut independent wheel air-ride suspension that provides a smooth, stable ride at higher speeds. The auto air spring leveling keeps the chassis level at all times on uneven terrain, such as these railroad ties.

  • Ease of use

Both sprayers have redesigned flat-fold booms in widths up to 120 feet. Along with the new CommandView II cab, GreenStar 3 2630 display, and cruise control it allows the system to automatically control the vehicle to the operator’s target speed.
