Ag Leader Technology, Inc. has introduced wireless connectivity in the cab with their new cloud-based platform, AgFiniti.

“Wireless communication is set to revolutionize precision agriculture,” says Roger Zielke, product manager at Ag Leader. “In developing this platform, our primary goal is to offer a solution that truly meets customer needs, and is both flexible and easy to use.”

Users simply need to connect the Ag Leader Wi-Fi Adapter to the Ag Leader Integra or Versa display to access a wireless internet network in the cab through any mobile hotspot of their choice, such as a smartphone, dedicated hotspot or a tablet.

“Users can choose any cellular data carrier, plan and device for their Wi-Fi hotspot, selecting the service that works best for them and their area,” Zielke explains. “Which makes AgFiniti a cost-effective and reliable solution.”

Guidance lines, prescriptions, as-applied maps and other data files can be sent and received wirelessly and backed up on the user’s secure AgFiniti account.  Files can be accessed from their smartphone or tablet in the field or at the office and shared with trusted advisors such as dealers, coops or farm managers.

“Now more than ever, wireless connectivity is extremely important because it arms growers and their trusted advisors with real-time information to support decisions affecting profitability,” states Ag Leader President Al Myers. “We continue to develop innovative precision farming technologies that help our customers gather valuable data from their fields and utilize that information to improve their operation.”

Ag Leader plans to launch AgFiniti in early 2014. For more information or to locate a dealer, visit www.agleader.com.
