John Deere Named On Reuters Top 100 Global Innovators List for 2012

John Deere has been named a Thomson Reuters 2012 top 100 Global Innovator, according to a release from the Deere CompanyDeere has been awarded the honor based on the creation of additional jobs, revenue performance, and investment in research and development.

The top innovators are recognized for exceptional innovative practices, which are measured by a series of proprietary, patent-related metricsDeere was reportedly added to the “top 100” list for their “overall patent volume, patent grant success rate, global reach of the portfolio, and patent influence as evidenced by citations.” According to Thomson Reuters, being part of the top 100 innovators means a company has exceeded the innovative business practices of other companies in various industries over the past year.
