2008 model combines at auction

Agriculture.com Staff 06/18/2009 @ 8:30am

Not much time to write this week's column.

I'm on my way out the door this morning (June 18, 2009), dashing to a Ritchie Brothers auction near Owatonna, Minnesota. Featured on today's auction are three 2008 model combines - a pair of Case IH 8010s with around 300 engine hours and a NH CR9060 with about 950 engine hours.

The last 2008 NH CR9060 combine I saw sell at auction was back in April, when one with 359 engine hours sold for $185,000 on a sale in northeast Missouri. I wonder what the CR9060 with almost triple the hours will sell for today?

I'll have our film crew along with me at the auction today shooting footage for our "Machinery Show" on RFD-TV. I'll try to post some video of the 2008 model combines back here on www.agriculture.com after the auction. So stop back and check it out.

Below are a few 2008 model Deere combines I've seen sold on recent auctions.
