Flex heads, Farmalls, and church

Agriculture.com Staff 10/15/2009 @ 8:00am

"Hey Pete, what's this piece of equipment worth?" A question I'm asked daily. Here are two such questions that came in via email this week, plus at the end of this column, a surprising question posed to me by a local church.

Q: "What are 1993 era JD 925 flex heads bringing? This one has a few issues." (Posted by a Machinery Talk discussion group participant.)

A: Here's a list of the JD 925 heads I've seen sold at auction the last couple years.

Q: "Can you give me an idea of what my Farmall H tractor is worth? It has no dents and the rubber is in pretty good shape. It starts up right on the first crank and runs good, but I hardly ever use it and am thinking about selling it. Thanks for your help." - Ethel in Nebraska

A: "Glad to be of help if I can Ethel. Here's a list of the Farmall H tractors I've seen sold at auction over the last 10 years."

Untitled Document I fielded one more very interesting machinery question this week from a local church. Check out my video reply at www.youtube.com/user/machinerypete.
