CaseIH 200 Tigermate II field cultivators

GREG PETERSON 12/28/2012 @ 9:05am Greg Peterson writes "Machinery Pete" column for Successful Farming magazine and appears on the Machinery Show on RFD-TV, talking about trends in the used equipment market

Some big, some small. Some sold last month, or last year. Some sold today.

I’m talking CaseIH 200 Tigermate II field cultivators sold at auction. The sale today, December 27, 2012, I was tracking was a large dealer auction in Mason City, IA. Larger 200’s today, a 54 ½ foot model sold for $55,000 and a pair of 60 ½ foot models went for $45,000 and $42,500.

$55,000 is a new record high auction sale price on a 200 Tigermate II.

On the smaller side, earlier this month (December 12, 2012) I covered a farm estate auction in north-central Illinois featuring a 2008 model CaseIH 200 Tigermate II 28 ½ foot with 5-bar harrow and 7” sweeps. It sold for $29,250.
