Machinery Pete's 16/31 planter prices
Numbers fill my head.
Say a number, any number, and I'll have my own quirky connections to that particular number, much of it sports related. My wife and two daughters think it's a disease. Could be. Numberitis: a condition defined by semi obsessive correlations between numbers and people/events.
So go ahead, pick a number. 16 you say? Ok, here's what I think when the number 16 pops into my head.
- Sixteen Candles (John Hughes movie from 1980's)
- Joe Montana (QB from 1980's, 49ers, no. 16)
- Jim Plunkett (QB from 1970's, Patriots, Raiders, no. 16)
- Bobby Clarke (Philedelphia Flyers hockey, 1970's - 1980's)
- Gary Player wins 1972 PGA Championship: key birdie on 16th hole Sunday
Now give me another number. 31? Sure, no problem. Here's what I got:
- Baskin Robins (31 Flavors ice cream)
- Richard Washington (Forward, UCLA basketball, 1973-76, no. 31)
- Bo Ellis (Forward, Marquette basketball, 1975-77, no. 31)
- Benny Barnes (Safety, Dallas Cowboys, 1970's, no. 31)
- New Year's Eve (December 31)
Auction sale price numbers also fill my head, have for 21+ years now. 16/31 Planters jump to mind. I've seen a few sold on recent sales. Couple quick clicks in our Machinerypete.com web site's "auction results" database and here's what I find:
