CFTC: More information needed on speculators' trade influence
CHICAGO, Illinois (Agriculture Online) -- Sounding a lot like they did earlier this year, the Commodities Futures Trading Commission testified to a House Agriculture Committee this week that more information is needed to determine if speculators are running up the commodity markets.
Vic Lespinasse, Grainanalyst.com, says the CFTC's testimony is neutral to the grain markets.
An interagency made up of major market participant groups will release results of its study of speculators' impact on U.S. futures markets soon, CFTC officials testified.
