Early calls for the commodities markets

Early calls for the Chicago Board of Trade for Thurssday, August 24, 2006, are corn up 1-2 cents, soybeans up 1-2 cents, and wheat up 4-6 cents, according to Dow Jones Newswires.

Allendale, Inc., calls corn up 1 cent, soybeans up 1 to down 1 cent, and wheat futures up 2-3 cents.

Overnight on the e-CBOT, December corn closed up 1 3/4 cents at $2.41 3/4, December wheat closed up 3 1/2 cents at $3.90 1/2, November soybeans were up 3/4 cent at $5.67 1/4, and December soymeal closed up 0.9 at $163.50.

Early calls for today's trade on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange are cattle, hogs and bellies steady to weak, according to Dow Jones Newswires.

Allendale calls October lean hogs down 10-20, October live cattle futures mixed, and October feeder cattle futures mixed. Cash hogs are called $1 higher to $1 lower.
