Record February figure seen In USDA cattle data

CHICAGO (Dow Jones)--Dry southern Plains pasture conditions continue to push young cattle into the nation's large feedlots at a fast pace, according to analysts. Due to a large January placement increase, Friday's U.S. Department of Agriculture's monthly cattle-on-feed report is expected to show a record-high Feb. 1 on-feed figure for the current data series going back to 1996.
