USDA: Illinois to raise a record corn crop

The USDA released its 2007 U.S. Prospective Plantings report on Friday. Overall, Illinois, one of the top corn-producing states, is expected to raise its largest-ever crop of 12.9 million acres. Iowa, one of the top soybean-producing states, is seen having the largest ever year-to-year drop in acres. The USDA maps below outline corn and soybean acreage.
