CHICAGO, Illinois (Agriculture.com)--The pre-opening prices for the CME Group grain commodities for Thursday, October 14, 2010 are higher. Corn is seen opening 3-5 cents higher, soybeans up 8-10 cents higher, and wheat up 3-5 cents.

In overnight electronic trading, the Dec. corn futures contract traded 4 1/2 cents higher at $5.73 3/4 per bushel. The Nov. soybean futures contract traded 11 cents higher at $11.87 1/2 per bushel. The Dec. wheat futures contract traded 2 1/2 cents higher at $7.05 1/4. For Dec. soymeal futures, the contract traded $3.10 per short ton higher at $332.10, and Dec. soyoil up $0.19 at $47.77.

The outside markets are supportive for Thursday's grain trade. The real factors driving the higher early calls are the higher overnight markets.
