Early calls for commodities

06/13/2011 @ 8:14am

CHICAGO, Illinois (Agriculture.com)--The pre-opening prices for the CME Group grain commodities for Monday, June 13, 2011 are mixed. Corn is seen opening 1-2 cents higher, soybeans 3-5 cents lower, and wheat 3-5 cents higher.

In overnight electronic trading, the July corn futures contract traded 1 cents higher at $7.88 per bushel. The July soybean futures contract traded 3 1/4 cents lower at $13.84 per bushel. The July wheat futures contract traded 4 cents higher at $7.63 1/4. For July soymeal futures, the contract traded $0.10 lower at $372.30 and July soyoil $0.05 lower at $56.80.

The outside markets are not supportive for Monday's grain trade. The real factors driving the mixed early calls are the mostly higher overnight markets.
