Early calls for commodities

06/30/2011 @ 7:00am

CHICAGO, Illinois (Agriculture.com)--The pre-opening prices for the CME Group grain commodities for Thursday, June 30, 2011 are subject to this morning's USDA June Acreage and Quarterly Grain Stocks Reports. The results of the reports will be released at 7:30am CDT.

In overnight electronic trading, the Dec. corn futures contract traded 1/2 of a cent higher at $6.51 per bushel. The Nov. soybean futures contract traded 2 cents higher at $13.25 1/2 per bushel. The Sep. wheat futures contract traded 3/4 of a cents lower at $6.73 1/2. For Dec. soymeal futures, the contract traded $2.40 higher at $340.50 and Dec. soyoil $0.20 higher at $57.03.

The outside markets are mildly supportive for Thursday's grain trade. The real factors driving the early calls will be the USDA Reports and the slightly higher overnight markets.
