Grain, soy mixed, cautious

10/10/2012 @ 10:32am

US grain and soybean futures carry mixed overnight theme into open outcry trade. Market participants remain cautious of taking on risk ahead of Thursday's crop estimates from government crop forecasters.

Soybeans and corn are drawing pressure from uncertainty surrounding Thursday's USDA crop forecasts, while wheat is supported by lingering worries about the potential for tighter world supplies. CBOT Nov soy down 12c at $15.38/bushel; Dec corn down 3/4c at $7.41 1/4; Dec wheat up 12c to $8.76 1/4. (andrew.johnsonjr@dowjones.com)
