Grains close higher Thursday

DES MOINES, Iowa (Agriculture.com)--The CME Group corn and wheat markets settled higher on unfavorable U.S. planting weather Thursday.

At the close, the July futures corn contract closed 15 cents higher at $6.62. New-crop Dec. futures ended 8 cents higher at $5.59.The July soybean futures contract finished 1 cent lower at $13.72, new-crop Nov. soybeans finished 5 cents lower at $12.04. July wheat futures settled 7 cents higher at $7.28 per bushel. The July soymeal futures settled $1.80 per short ton higher at $406.20. The July soyoil futures finished $0.36 lower at $48.49.
In the outside markets, the NYMEX crude oil is $2.16 per barrel higher, the dollar is higher and the Dow Jones Industrials are 129 points higher.
