Grains rocket higher on USDA data

Jeff Caldwell 10/11/2012 @ 9:47am Multimedia Editor for Agriculture.com and Successful Farming magazine.

The gains continue for corn, soybeans and wheat early in Thursday's trading session after USDA released monthly Crop Production and supply/demand numbers Thursday morning.

In early trading, December corn is 25 1/4 cents higher at $7.62 per bushel, while November soybeans are 24 cents higher at $15.47 1/4 and December wheat is 10 1/4 higher at $8.80.

The gains come after USDA released numbers showing a slightly smaller corn crop in the U.S. this year on top of lower ending stocks.
