New soybeans jump 23¢ Friday

DES MOINES, iowa (Agriculture.com)--With more favorable weather supporting more corn planting, the CME Group soybean prices have fired out of the starting blocks much higher Friday.

At the open, the the July futures corn contract is 2 cents higher at $6.65. New-crop December futures are trading 8 cents higher at $5.56. The July soybean futures contract is trading 14 cents higher at $15.41; new-crop November soybeans are trading 23 cents higher at $13.29. July wheat futures are trading 5 cents higher at $7.02 per bushel. The July soymeal futures are trading $4.80 per short ton at $458.80. The July soyoil futures are trading 22 cents higher at $48.38.


In the outside markets, the NYMEX crude oil is 46 cents per barrel lower, the dollar is higher, and the Dow Jones Industrials are 82 points higher.
