U.S. chicken exports drop, weigh on other proteins

KANSAS CITY (Dow Jones)--Declining U.S. chicken exports in late 2005 and into January have weighed heavily on domestic prices, particularly for leg- quarters, and low chicken prices are seen weighing on prices of other animal proteins throughout most of the first quarter 2006, according to officials with Tyson Foods Inc. (TSN), on the company's quarterly results conference call Monday.
