   Tropical cyclone 08s (Funso), with 100 knot winds, was located near 
18.5s/39.4e at 0900 gmt Monday or over the northwest Mozambique channel about 
150-175 miles off the coast of Mozambique. The system is moving towards the 
southeast at only 3 knots. It is expected to track towards the south and then 
south-southwest during the next 24-48 hours. Top winds may reach to 120 knots 
late in this period. The system should be over the open waters of the central 
or western Mozambique channel during this period.
