Soybeans, Corn Settle Higher Thursday

DES MOINES, Iowa (Agriculture.com)--After a volatile morning, the CME Group corn, soybean and wheat markets closed higher Thursday.

At the close, the July corn futures contract settled 9 cents higher at $4.50. The Dec. corn futures settled 8 cents higher at $4.47.

The July soybean futures contract finished 11 3/4 cents higher at $14.20. The Nov. soybean futures finished 14 cents higher at $12.27.

July wheat futures finished 6 cents higher at $5.93.

The July soymeal futures contract settled $2.00 per short ton lower at $451.20. The July soyoil futures finished $0.48 higher at $40.61.

In the outside markets, the NYMEX Brent crude oil is $0.60 per barrel higher, the dollar is lower and the Dow Jones Industrials are 18 points lower.
