Soybeans end 26¢ lower, wheat 24¢ higher

DES MOINES, Iowa (Agriculture.com)--As they started the day, the CME Group wheat market finished sharply higher, while the soybean market closed sharply lower Wednesday.


The May corn futures contract closed 5 1/4 cents higher at $4.88 1/2. The May soybean futures contract finished 26 cents lower at $13.87. May wheat futures finished 24 3/4 cents higher at $6.83 per bushel. The May soymeal futures contract closed $7.70 per short ton lower at $436.50. The May soyoil futures are trading $0.33 lower at $43.42.


In the outside markets, the NYMEX crude oil is $1.95 per barrel lower, the dollar is lower, and the Dow Jones Industrials are 34 points lower.
