Grains trim early gains, drift lower
Corn and soybeans remain on the high side at mid-day Thursday, while wheat futures slumped into the red.
At mid-day, nearby wheat was 8 3/4 cents lower at $6.16 1/2 per bushel, according to Barchart.com. Nearby corn and soybeans were still holding on to earlier gains, with corn 1/2 cent higher at $6.05 3/4 and soybeans 3 1/2 cents higher at $11.67 1/4.
Early gains have been trimmed in all pits, and though wheat is leading the way, losses in corn and beans are being driven by continued good harvest weather in the Midwest.
