TerraMarc sold to power equipment manufacturer Echo

TerraMarc Industries, which manufactures Bear Cat chippers and shredders, Lockwood potato planting and harvesting implements, and Crary agricultural equipment, has been purchased by Echo Incorporated.

Commercial-grade outdoor power equipment manufacturer Echo is located in Lake Zurich, Illinois. TerraMarc, located in West Fargo, North Dakota, will operate under the name Crary Industries, Inc., as a subsidiary of Echo. President Chuck Crary will continue to lead that company.

In 2005, TerraMarc, which employs 180 people, listed sales in excess of $35 million. Terms of the sale were not disclosed.
