A partnership between Firestone, Successful Farming magazine and Agriculture.com has netted a top national award from the Media Industry News (MIN).

The All Around the Farm program -- a regular feature showcasing the best of farmer-submitted innovation ideas that's been part of Successful Farming for 80 years -- was awarded the WOW Award for the "most innovative integrated business-to-business marketing program" at Wednesday's MIN Integrated Marketing Awards in New York, New York.

"The All Around the Farm program has evolved with the times and will continue to in the future," says Successful Farming Publisher Scott Mortimer. "We are delighted to have won this award for one of our longest-running and most popular programs."

More than 6,800 farmer-submitted ideas have been published in All Around the Farm's 80-year history. Currently, seven farmer ideas as well as one "Idea of the Month" are published each month, with the Idea of the Month netting the author $2,500 in Firestone Farm Tire in-store credit. In addition to the magazine feature, the program includes a monthly feature in Successful Farming, a feature in each episode of the Successful Farming Machinery Show and regular features on Agriculture.com.

"When we were presented with being involved with All Around the Farm, we could not turn away from its proven history," says Firestone Marketing Manager Tom Rodgers. "It truly is an outstanding integrated marketing program that focuses on the end user -- the farmers and ranchers."

Adds Paula Barbour, Successful Farming Content Editor who manages the All Around the Farm program: "We hear a lot today about social media and social networking -- users interacting with other users. In the pages of All Around the Farm, farmers have been sharing ideas for over 80 years. You might say it's the great-grandfather of social media."
