Big reasons to check out this auction

This isn't your average farm auction.

Nine 2010 model JD tractors, 3 JD 2009 model tractors, 8 2010 model grain trailers, 2 2010 model skid steers, 10 sleeper semi trucks, 5 non-sleeper semi trucks, 3 tender trucks, 5 other trucks, 8 pickups, all on this March 16 sale by Steffes Auctioneers.Again, this is farm auction, not a dealer auction. A huge farm operation in east-central South Dakota near the town of Wessington Springs is downsizing out of the livestock business completely and selling all this late model equipment. The items I highlighted above just a partial list. Here's the sale bill.

You bet I'll be out there to cover this auction. Very curious to see how all this late-model equipment sells. Take the (3) 2010 JD 7330 MFWD tractors with 361, 324 and 660 hours. What do you suppose they are worth? Here's a list of JD 7330's I've seen sold the last year or so at auction:

How about the pair of 2009 JD 741 loaders with 5-tine grapple, 96-inch quick tach bucket and grill guards on this sale, how high will they sell? The last (4) JD 741 loaders I've seen sold separately at auction have gone from $7,000 up to $9,600. See for yourself:

So much intriguing equipment on this sale. Stuff like the 2009 Jones Mfg. Mighty Giant 2015 hay tub grinder. Don't see those sold every day.
