09/21/2010 @ 8:25am

CHICAGO, Illinois (Agriculture.com)--The pre-opening prices for the CME Group grain commodities for Tuesday, September 21, 2010 are mostly lower. The early calls for corn are 1-2 cents lower, soybeans up 1-2 cents, and wheat 3-5 cents lower.

In overnight electronic trading, the Dec. corn futures contract traded 1/2 of a cent lower at $5.07 3/4 per bushel. The Nov. soybean futures contract traded 1 3/4 cents higher at $10.86 1/4 per bushel. The Dec. wheat futures contract traded 4 cents lower at $7.27 3/4. For Dec. soymeal futures, the contract traded $0.20 per short ton lower at $310.00, and Dec. soyoil up 0.06 point at $43.11.

The outside markets are supportive for Tuesday's grain trade. The real factors driving the early calls will be the mostly lower overnight grain trading.
